When we talk about "unlocking a Peruvian beauty secret" we are referring to Bataua, the absolutely magical super-fruit.
Bataua fruit grows on wild Palms in several regions of South America. The Bataua fruit in RUVI is regeneratively wild harvested in the Amazon jungles of Peru. "Regeneratively" means the fruit is harvested by climbing so that the Palms can continue to yield its bountiful fruit year after year.
Unfortunately over 90% of the fruit harvested from wild Palms across the Amazon is done by cutting down the Palms. We are on a mission to greatly reduce and hopefully one day end this tragic practice by training harvesters to climb Palms using modern climbing gear that we are helping to supply.
